Here I am at Francis Peninsula gazing into the clear water of the bay at pebbles and seaweed which create a kaleidoscope of colour and light. Now protected as a provincial park, the delicate ecology around the bay with its arbutus and rare lichens, wildflowers and sea vistas is one of the special spots on BC's Sunshine Coast.
